TASIN is different to other societies because we focus more on the
academic/career pathway. Learning anatomy can be difficult as there are
so many facts and names to memorize, it's like learning a new language.
Yes, we understand this!
But anatomy is a very vital
part of studying Medicine, and a crucial and significant part of
surgery. Be that as it may, Anatomy can be fun too!
This year TASIN will be be organizing a Clinical Anatomy Quiz
for all students. There will be straight anatomy questions, easy ones,
hard ones, and case based questions. This will be a test and a challenge
for students but it won't all be for nothing!
There will be amazing prizes to be won - but most of all, it will be a whole new world of fun! The winner will be crowned TASIN Anatomy Master of The Year.
We
will be using state of the art technology to run this quiz and you'll
get the results immediately. If you get all questions correct - you will
move on to the next round. If you answer incorrectly, unfortunately it
is the end of the line for you.
Sounds like something you want to do on a Saturday evening?
Stay tune and we'll keep you posted!

Suture Saturday
Suture Saturday is up and running again this year!
This year with TASIN Suture Saturday will be run with registrars or consultants and we welcome every year group and any student interested in upgrading their skill or simply starting out and learning how to suture.
We aim to run a session every month, sometimes twice a month. Signing up for the Suture Saturday session will be online. An email will be sent out 2 weeks before the Suture Saturday date and you will be asked to sign up for that particular session. Because we can only cater for 15 students per session it will be on a first come first serve basis. Please don't sign up for sessions ahead as your name will be cancelled.
You will be given a certificate of attendance at the completion of the session and hopefully with suturing skills under your belt! There will be a fee of $5 for each session and all equipment will be provided.
Signing off,
TASIN Hobart
